Screen printed t-shirts offer the most accurate, vibrant, comfy and long lasting garment print available.
Screen printing is a traditional process and involves pushing ink through a mesh stencil screen for every colour in the design. Each screen is aligned (registered) on our press to make sure all colours line up. We then print each colour in sequence onto the t-shirt until the final image builds. Due to the preparation time involved in the screen printing routine this process is more suited to orders of 20pcs and upwards however we do have a low minimum of 10pcs for single colour printing.
We use a 6 colour carousel and manually hand print your garments using a unique blend of discharge, waterbased and traditional plastisol printing inks to create an incredibly soft vibrant printed product.
We screen print because we love it! We are passionate about screen printing and put a lot of care and attention into producing the best quality, softest and vibrant prints possible.
At Flippin Sweet we appreciate the value of a good soft quality print without compromise on vibrant colours. Which is why we have worked tirelessly over the years honing our craft, striving to produce the best quality print possible.
Using a unique blend of inks and screen print techniques we are able to produce incredibly soft and lightweight prints, yet retain the vibrancy of the traditional rough and heavy inks.
We also understand the value of minimizing the effect our printing has on the Earth. This is why we make significant efforts to keep our inks as Eco friendly as possible. Not only do our inks look and feel great, they contain no phalates or plasticizers which also allows the use of Eco Friendly cleaning solutions.
A unique print finish we have developed to create the most vibrant, long lasting and incredibly soft print possible. This hybrid style uses a combination of a white discharge underbase and our usual coloured inks to finish. We strongly believe this provides the perfect combination to achieve outstanding colour vibrancy, incredibly accurate print detail and a soft, breathable and long lasting print which gets even softer after the first wash.
We typically recommend garments containing 100% cotton or atleast 80% for maximum vibrancy. Premium Standard is our go to print style unless otherwise requested, so no extra fees or surcharges!
As a rule of thumb, the majority of screen printers will use this industry standard plastisol ink. These inks are vibrant but leave a much thicker ink deposit above our Premium Style. We typically try to avoid using plastisol, but sometimes it is the only option for alternative garments that can’t be printed using our Premium Style ink and print technique.
Much like our Premium Style print waterbased leaves a very soft hand finish. The inks however are quite low opacity so we only print waterbased inks on white / light coloured garments. For this reason we mainly choose waterbased inks for CMYK process printing such as full colour photographic images. Waterbased inks are also considered the most eco friendly of inks.
For each colour in your design we create a new screen, this is why prices are based on No. of colours per print and quantity. For example, if your design had 3 colours and you wanted 200 t-shirts, printing would be £1.42 per print. This price does not include the garment cost and setup fee.
Screen Printed T-shirts involves a lengthy setup process in which for every colour in your artwork, we create a screen and line up on press. Each colour is printed one at a time. Screen setup is charged at £15 per screen/colour.
We have a 10pcs minimum for single colour and 20pcs minimum two to six colour screen printing.
